Foodpreneur Advantage 

The Foodpreneur Advantage offers the Scale-Up/Accelerator Program, designed specifically for Food & Beverage Manufacturers, Producers and Distribution businesses that demonstrate high growth potential.

This program will be delivered in a hybrid model with both online and in-person sessions being offered.

Program Goal:

Equip established food and beverage entrepreneurs with the strategy, systems, knowledge, and industry connections required to scale sustainably and profitably.

Class sizes are limited, and this is a competitive process.

2. Eligibility

  • Business must be operating for a minimum of 1 year revenue generation, and have an established consumer packaged good that has been tested in the market.
  • Business must have achieved a minimum of $50,000 annual revenue.
  • Business must have a minimum of 10 active wholesale accounts.
  • Business must demonstrate strong growth potential with a vision towards scalability.
  • Business owner must commit to participate fully in the training and mentorship.

3. Cost

$1,500 per participating entrepreneur 

If you reside in a service region of one of the Foodpreneur Advantage Local Delivery Partners foodpreneuradvantage.ca/resources/, you are encouraged to contact them to discuss financial assistance programs that might be available, such as the Starter Company Plus $5,000 Grant Program. Please note that not all locations are able to offer their financial assistance programs in unison with the Foodpreneur Advantage Scale-Up/Accelerator Program, and there may be unique variations and requirements based on location.  Alternatively, you can schedule a 15-minute exploratory meeting with the Foodpreneur Advantage Accelerator Program Manager to discuss your suitability and options.

Tips to a successful application

If you are new to your local Small Business Centre, we encouraged you to introduce yourself. Do not wait for the application to make your first visit! Centre staff are there to help you grow your business. The further you are along in your business, the greater prepared you will be to seize this opportunity!
